NCAA's clearance branch is a crock of you know what.

why is retaking a test that you say you've already legitimately aced a "punishment"? I would see it as an opportunity to hammer my detractors.....mac

True, but why should he be required to retake it? I know what they are thinking - because of his past bad grades he had someone take the test for him. That's b.s. They are easy to study for.
It's not like they are scheduled every week. He may miss this entire season.

Looks like the next scheduled ACT test date is September 12 and he has until tomorrow to register for it with a late fee. Hope he does well and proves himself.

doesn't matter why he should be required to retake it. the fact of the matter is that the school he wants to pay for his education wants him to so................. just DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The school doesn't require him to retake it - the NCAA does.

Well UT got greedy. They wanted their own network and the money that came with it. The ironic thing, it is a terrible network to watch a football game on. They barely talk about the other team even when they are losing. It was the most annoying thing I have watched. We have signed up for our Big Ten sports

The BTN is fantastic. Not the greatest announcers and play-by-play, but light years better than the Longhorn Network.

But it's not Texas making him retake the test. The NCAA has some strange forumula used to flag a player if there is a disparity between grades and ACT. If I have time later, I will try and remember to post it
