That team was great in the 80's with Bird, McHale, Parrish, Johnson, and Ainge. Once they got Bill Walton and Scott Sichting, they were really unstoppable, great to watch. Sometimes there would be 5 white guys out there that other teams couldnt handle, talk about throw back basketball...

true that.....mchale, ainge and parrish especially....that was great basketball (can't forget stockton either, always wish the celts would've picked him up, not sure anybody could dish off as well as he could to malone)....mac

Those Celtics and Lakers saved the NBA. Before those two teams went at it annually the NBA was turning to crap.
