One of Our Members Missing? Rest in Peace Ironernin/Themeanogre
Has anyone heard from, or seen, IronEminem, formerly known as TheMeanOgre?
I haven't seen a post from him in a long time.

I mentioned this weeks ago, and Hooter (I think) said, "Who cares?"
If anyone knows him personally, they might check on him.

I do know him. He has suffered from multiple sclerosis for many years. But I don't know exactly where he lives.
While everyone used to laugh at some of his responses, I'm sure no one wishes him ill.

I am pretty sure that he used to go to Papas every now and then for breakfast, but I haven't seen him there in about 2 months.

Yes I said who cares. Nothing against him on a personal level, but his posts are weird. Hope he is doing ok. I think he lives with his mom. Hope both are doing well.

I'll try and put some "feelers" out - his Mom is active in the Ladies Auxiliary at the Cove VFW.

Not good news.
Up until a few years ago he was still able to get around - he could drive himself, get out of the vehicle and get in his wheelchair all by himself.
I used to see him frequently putting around Cove on his motorized scooter.
Then he couldn't do that.
He got worse and kept falling. His mother put him a nursing home. He also developed breathing problems.
He passed away the late evening of May 27.
For those who don't know, his real name was Eric Simpson. RIP.

Well, that's too bad. Some of us gave him a hard time, but he was spunky enough to always come back for more.

Well, now I can really kick myself. I knew where he lived. I bought some stuff off him a few years back.
Tried to locate his house a couple times last month, and failed, but never went to the trouble of looking up
his address in my archives

MS affected his motor skills, but never affected his mind. Not sure what did affect his mind
He was sharp, mentally, but pretty much in an alternate reality when it came to a lot of subjects.
I don't mind being called far right.
I have been right so far.

He used to drive Scarlet crazy.
I remember when he grew a beard. A long, kind of bushy beard.
We at the VFW couldn't figure out who he looked like - then the manager hit the nail on the head. Exact duplicate of Osama bin Laden.
