    Formatting Text on this Forum

This came up again when trying to post lake levels.
Normal text does not lend well to columns.

I know it has been done here, but I can't remember the correct tag, something like 'code' allows columns to display properly.

I seem to remember someone also posting something in a grid frame, but that could have been a picture of a grid frame.
I don't mind being called far right.
I have been right so far.

Sometimes, when I grab something and paste it, the software interprets it correctly.

The code tag is for displaying the how a tag looks before the forum gets a hold of it. But it doesn't seem to work.

If you double click on the reply button, you get the full editor. You can also get to it by clicking on the Go Advanced button if you start typing on the Quick Reply box.
    There's the List tag

    • One item in the list

    • Another item in the list

    • Yet another item in the list

    There's the Numbered list
    1. One numbered item in the list
    2. Another numbered item in the list
    3. Yetanother numbered item in the list

    Then there's the Table
    Data data
    more data More data
Even more data Golly there's a lot of data

    Table with borders.
    Data data
    more data More data
Even more data Golly there's a lot of data

    Table with full grid
    Data data
    more data More data
Even more data Golly there's a lot of data

Thanks, the TABLE="width: 500" is the tag I need. Now just have to play with it a bit to get things to line up.
And figure out how to make tag insertion simi-automatic
Probably wind up with a template in a text file to do my coding, then cut and paste to the editor.
