My cat might be interested. Will ask him.

Fried Guinea Pig
1 guinea pig, de-haired, gutted, and cleaned
1/2 c. flour
1/4 - 1/2 t. ground cumin
salt and black pepper to taste
1/2 c. oil
Pat dry the skin of the guinea pig and rub in the cumin, salt, and pepper. Preheat oil. Dust the carcass with the flour and place it on its back in the oil, turning to cook both sides. Alternately, the guinea pig can be cut and fried in quarters.
Serve with boiled potato and a salad of cut tomatoes and slivered onions bathed in lime juice and a bit of salt. Have cold beer on hand.

No mac. It's several years old so should be the size of a small rabbit. Good eats for a boa constrictor.

Seriously, XZ, hope you find a home for the little critter.
I remember my daughter wanted a guinea pig, so we got her one. Cage and all. Was the messiest little thing of all time. But when I reached in the cage one day to pick it up and remove it so I could clean the cage and the damn thing bit me was the end of the line.
No, didn't give it to my cat. I took it, and all the junk I bought with it like the cage, bottle, etc., back to the pet shop and gave it back to them. Said my daughter was allergic to it.

We used small rabbits when fishing off the base of the damn at Lake Whitney. Took a good size catfish to eat it.
