Just read two articles on ESPN.com:
    (1) Mack Brown has denied he is leaving. He is currently in Florida "recruiting". Of course, UT's board meets Thursday so ol' Mack might be leaving whether he wants to or not.
    (2) Bama and Saban are currently underdoing contract/extension negotiations.

orangebloods.com says Mack will announce by the end of the week. ESPN confirms that.

Guess we'll see, but I'm hopeful.

I think it's from the nicksaban-texasfootball.com website. Their tagline is "Less clapping, more trophies." What's scary is how real these pictures look. It's really hard to see any evidence of photoshopping, etc.

The news today has been about "intense contract talks" in Tuscaloosa. Something about negotiating a contract extension. LOL.

This is only thinly related to Saban, but it's Christmas time on CTT, so what the heck...

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama kicker Cade Foster received a supportive note from President George W. Bush.

Foster missed two field goal attempts and had a third blocked in the Crimson Tide’s 34-28 loss to Auburn on Nov. 30.

    Bush wrote:

    Dear Cade (#43),

“Life has its setbacks. I know!

“However you will be a stronger human with time.

“I wish you all the best -

    “Sincerely -

    “another 43

    “George Bush”

Bush was the 43rd President and Foster wears No. 43.

“Framing this,” the kicker wrote on the Instagram caption

The letter was first reported by al.com.

No. 3 Alabama will play Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl; the loss prevented the Crimson Tide from being able to try for a third straight national title.

Foster received threats on social media in the aftermath of the loss to Auburn. But teammates and Alabama fans swiftly rallied around him, with thousands joining a Facebook fan page “Bama fans supporting Cade Foster” by the following day.

Foster had made 11 of 12 field goals on the season before the game with Auburn. He is a senior.

I saw the handwritten note shown on msnbc this morning, and one of the commentators said Saban had been very critical of Cade. Pres. Bush showed class, but I guess he's not a coach and class isn't the coach's job.

If Saban comes to Texas, is he going to be a jerk? (Tied this in )

I saw the story on #43 and thought it was a nice touch by GW. Those "fans" who have been sending Cade death threats are scumbags. AJ McCarron and other teammates have been really supportive of Cade.

As for Saban, he's actually never been my favorite.....I think he does have some "jerk" characteristics. I hope he stays at 'Bama, and we find someone better!!!

His kicker makes 11 of 12 field goals before that game, so now he blasts him. He's always been a jerk.
Be careful what you wish for UT fans - it just might come true.
