    growth on male dog's nipple

Has anyone ever seen a large growth on the nipple of a male dog? Any ideas what it could be? I've never seen it before, but there is a dog at the shelter with one.

Aw comeon, Mac. Them critters live under the ground. What would they want to hang on a male dog's nipple for?

Here's a picture of one of the larger growth, the other one is slightly smaller. Sorry I wasn't able to turn the picture the correct way, but you get the idea!
