Oh my gosh! I'm so paranoid about anyone going near the kitchen! I took the plastic off of the cabinets, and now realize my next job needs to be painting the cabinets. I'm planning on a bright glossy cream color. I'll have to get some swatches. I also decided to just pain the walls where the backsplash will go until I decide on the backsplash I want. I'd rather look at a painted wall than the torn up ones I have now.

Stove with everything cleaned up and put back together. Still no backsplash, but I'm working on it. Click image for larger version.

I'm glad you do better handy work than picture taking!

Have you considered www.airstone.com for the backsplash? We might cover our boring tiles with it. They sell them at Lowe's and they look very easy to work with.

Night Owl, for some reason I can't get a picture without a glare.. What's wrong with this picture? Is it blurry? I can't tell.

Okay, I went and looked at it. Wow! That is blurry. Oh well.

Almost couldn't tell the difference between the counter and the range top.

Just took a quick look and looks NICE, but I wonder about clean up. Backsplashes tend to get splashed with whatever, especially in my house. That airstone looks like splashed spaghetti sauce might become a permanent conversation starter.

I do splash at times, so I don't think it would work for me. I need something I can spray and wipe, or scrub.

Night Owl, okay now my picture wasn't THAT blurry.
