First Game Tomorrow at Hood Stadium
We have been asked by Dr. Muller to be "optimistic" about playing at Hood Stadium. I have no exact knowledge but I have heard that the stadium has seating on only one side of the field. Dr. Muller did say that the seats were stadium seating and I have heard from others that the entire seating is stadium seating. This causes a problem with the bands who are unable to move around in the stands with their instruments. The solution was that there were going to be temporary bleachers put somewhere within the field area for the bands. I HAVE seen a picture of these bleachers and can't stop laughing on who thought that was going to work. In the picture I can't really tell how many bleachers have been set on the opposite side of the seats but it looks like four or five bleachers. At least 2 of them have 3 rows, and I think I see a couple of more that might have 4 or 5 rows in them...It looks really ridiculous considering that bands and drill team members are suppose to use them.
I will say this now: there might not be anyone happy with having to use Hood Stadium the REST OF THE YEAR.
And that is me being optimistic.
Good luck to both Harker Heights and Shoemaker tomorrow during their game and good luck to the bands and all of the fans that are going to Hood Stadium tomorrow. I really cannot wait to hear how it turns out.

I really don't understand why everyone is so upset over this stadium. That being said I do wish it had stands on both sides of the field but oh well. I for one am looking forward to not driving across town to Leo Buckley every Friday night!

First Game Tomorrow at Hood Stadium
Just heard that the stadium isn't ready yet and workers are going to be working almost all night to get it "almost" completed for tomorrow's game.

One of my student's fathers is working on it. He said that the bleachers and field will be ready. Don't count on restrooms and concession stands.

xyz...please let us know what you think about the stadium AFTER the game...I understand that this is the first game and there could be some problems but I would really like to know what you think about it since you don't have a negative perception about it right now like I do.
And think about this while the game is going on...even though you don't have to drive across town to get to you Leo Buckley, would you rather have enjoyed the game more so if it was at Leo instead of Hood Stadium?

I could care less what the stadium looks like. I don't mind bleachers only being on one side of the field. Restrooms would be nice...but other than that...closer to home trumps Buckley in my book regardless!

Everyone will be parking in the same parking lot, sitting on the same side, and sharing the same area under the bleachers. Any "issues" will be federal charges, not local, so I hope everyone keeps their wits about them and behave appropriate.

KISD was insane to accept this arrangement.

I agree with Scarlett.
Do I like the idea of sitting on the same side? No (If we are wining then it's a different story 😆 but it isn't a deal breaker for me. During 7&8th grade football we all sit on the same side, freshman and jv football we all sit on the same side. Baseball we all sit on the same side.
Heck, last year when SHS was beating Belton for the entire game and only lost at the last second due to a 2 point conversion I was sitting on Belton's side with some friends and I cheered for every single SHS touchdown.
Like I said...not that big of a deal.
