When I was stationed at Ft. Sill, we'd drive to California every Christmas to see family, and driving through the New Mexico desert and crystal clear skies was breathtaking. You can see so many stars...

The Saudi Desert Sky is indeed clear, although I was never far enough out in the desert to not have any light pollution, I was far enough it was pretty spectacular.
I don't mind being called far right.
I have been right so far.

Death Valley was the same way on a clear night. There is something about the desert at night that is amazingly beautiful. At least until the wind kicks up.
