District 8-5a Week 0 Scores
At least SHS had a close game. Doesn't look like EHS or HHHS even showed up to play.
SHS JV team beat Waco University last night. Congrats to my Iinebacker ;-)

Cove cannot defend the pass.
They fared well against Abilene's vaunted running game in the scrimmage and stopped A&M's running game, but can't stop a spread offense passing attack. This is what killed them last year too and was how Southlake Carroll was able to come back and beat them after having a good lead at the end of 3 quarters.
However, they did find their running back of the future - junior Vondraez King ran for 250 yards last night.

To lose to Waco university is almost as bad as an nfl team losing to the browns or raiders they are usually bad. Bad start for shs

University is changed. They beat Waco last year.

University is good, AMC has a chance to be great. These games can help our district teams get better. Good luck to District 8-5A

Sorry but I don't see it that way. It was a good game both teams look pretty good. SHS may not be the best in the district, yet, but they are moving up And they will have several wins this year.

Not to gloat but it did my heart good to hear my alma alma mater, A&M Consolidated, decimated the highly vaunted Dawgs. There is justice in the universe.
