Which kind of surgery? My bulldog Fiona has had both. The less invasive cadivar ACL which torn about 6months later. We knew it was a risk with her weight but opted for it anyway. She then had the metal plate put in. Sounds worse and propably hurt more but we kept her on pain pills. She recovered from the 2nd on much faster and has no problems now. It is hard to part from them for the surgery and then they are so down for a day or two but was i happy with it all after a couple of days. Best wishes to you and you dog.

My pup had the metal plate installed and it took bout 6 weeks before he started moving like his old self. What a difference the surgery made in his standard of living. We used the animal hospital in Copperas Cove and saved over $2000 over the Austin/Georgetown vet our former vet recommended.

Well, he was suppose to have the surgery today but the vet canceled it. The vet did not like what he saw after they sedated my big guy, so they took more x-rays and sent them to a orthopedic specialist. They are now waiting for the orthopedic vet consult before deciding on what to do next. I just want my baby to be able to run and play again without hurting!
