Bleeding skin tags

My dog is 11 years old. She has quite a few skin tags. The vet says they are nothing to worry about. Well, she has one under her eye that is small, but every now and then it swells up like a tic and bursts. Normally it isn't any big deal, but tonight it actually bled down her face. Lots of blood oozing from it. Is this anything to worry about?

These skin tags are usually benign but can be messy. Often I will use electrocautery to remove them but it does require anesthesia. I try to combine it with another procedure like a teeth cleaning and do it at that time. I wouldn't worry but you can probably expect it to stay messy.

Thank you. When I got home from work tonight I realized she scraped most of it off, and cleaned herself up. What a blessing to this weak stomach person. Thanks for your advice.
