This just in!!!
•Patrick close to signing deal to run NASCAR in 2012: Danica Patrick is in the final stages of putting together her full-time NASCAR plan. Patrick is apparently going to run a full Nationwide schedule with JR Motorsports [in 2012], and run a limited Sprint Cup schedule with Tony Stewart in preparation for an eventual full Cup schedule.(ESPN/Associated Press)(8-2-2011)
Not a total shock but newsworthy

Not a shock at all... And running the full Nationwide Series leaves her available, without conflict, to run the Indy 500 on Memorial Day weekend. I don't think the World, oops Coca-Cola, 600 will be on that limited Cup schedule... She'll be the third car at Stewart-Haas...

Still don't get the hype overthis non-winning woman. There are many women drivers, she just happens to have better PR. She's like a lot of the so-called good looking women in sports, all T and A and no talent.

Point is she doesn't win. She's no Janet Guthrie.

AP source: Patrick still could run Indy 500
I agree with you Chief that she has good PR but other than that you're totally wrong... She IS a good driver... It's a shame you're so narrow-minded...
Anywho; here's the article from AP...

I was replying to the T and A comment. In that case, I'm glad she's no Janet Guthrie.

Perhaps the reason she hasn't won in the Nationwide series is because her owner isn't much of a winner himself. Not to mention, that series is full of full time cup drivers. She's only run 19 races in two years.

This Just In
Folks, her debut seasoin was 2005. Since that time she has had 109 starts, 1 win, and her best finish over 12 years has been 5th. She's over hyped and she won't win in Nascar either.
I don't consider my self narrow-minded. Her stats speak for themselves. Sports Illustrated swinsuit edition, GoDaddy commercials have sold her on sex appeal. Playboy offered her a chance to pose (which she declined), but that's her contribution to her bank account.
