Maybe it is the template you use. Can you try changing it to the Vb4 Default template and see if you still have that problem?
It's in the lower left corner drop down box.
I'm on the template you use and not seeing it in Explorer or Firefox.

Brian, how's the width now?
IIt's horrible! Stretches so far across the screen that it cuts off the words on the left and right. Now I have a scroll bar to go back and forth. PLEASE make that go away.
Ok, so I changed the default style and it went back to normal. (But I liked the other style better before the changes.)
That's weird, I haven't made any changes to the "Blue Senseless" style. I will look for an update to that style. Give me a few.
Oh you didn't have to change it on my account. I was going to try out the different styles. What does concern me though is why my javascript is acting funny. It seems to have started with the updates on this site, but I am not sure if this is the cause. It seems to be affecting other websites I use that also have javascript. For example on here when I post a new entry, not as a reply but in the box at the bottom, I can't use line breaks. If I hit enter, it either does nothing, or places a line break at the very top of my text input while leaving the cursoor in the same place. And then I can't undo it.

It's happening in the vB4 Default style.
Maybe you had a bad install of an update patch or something? Whatever it is, it seems confined to javascript operation. Everything else functions fine.

Ok, that was weird. I updated a style and it corrupted all of them. I got the default restored and will force everyone to use it until I get the other one figured out.
