I also read an article in it in USA Today. They are having some competitions starting this weekend and some next week in the named locations ..... swimming, canoeing etc.. The article also stated...
We are right now visiting our son and family in Anchorage. Went to the market on Saturday. Splurged on "Fireweed and honey" icecream. So good.
The kennel has been tried ... he has literally chewed his way out of it. I went on petmeds and found some homeopathic treats. I then also found something comparable at Petsmart; we are giving it a...
He spends a lot of time outside. The kids are in Alaska and depending on the weather, he stays inside. I did some more research today and it sounds to me that it is anxiety. We are here with them...
Our son's 5-year old Great Dane mix started a while back to leave puddles when left alone. Is that anxiety-related? He is house-broken and we are really at a loss as to what to do about this behavior.
How about David Manley?????
FP, there seems to be a trend in recent years .... the young army wives are for the most part not anywhere near as resilient as we once were. I hear lots of whining is going on. Learned helplessness...
It is totally awe inspiring. We were in Anchorage in June and actually camped in Denali. I will never forget it. Alaska, overall, is very beautiful.
Oh, we have to start a crochet/knitting/quilting group. I do all three... am working on quilts for my grandkids right now and also have several afghans started. I donate them to Project Linus.
Or make your own dressing. It is so easy. Get some good vinegar, olive oil or any other oil, add a little salt, a little sugar, fresh ground pepper, dill, parley, cilantro, green onions, some Greek...
"Martins" are fantastic insect control:thumbsup
dog, cat, and two parrots
We need a good pet sitter. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Our friends' dog had the surgery last Friday and got to go home that afternoon. When I talked to them, they said that he needed the pain meds that night and the husband slept near the dog ... just in...
Terrific news. :thumbsup
Tried oranges and pink grapefruit this evening .... our Great Dane mix loved both; the Black Lab gave it a lick and left; the Chocolate Lab did not even bother to try it. Just like kids. Spoiled:))
Why do you regret it? Do you miss her?
I am surprised to see grapes on the list. Could it be that it is grapes WITH seeds? I have given my dogs seedless grapes in small amounts for years (5 or 6) and they have never shown any signs of...
I am jealous... I would love to meet him.
Thank you Dr. Jones for taking such good care of our old boy Picasso. He is good as new and can go back to the lake for his favorite activity....swimming. Happy Thanksgiving to all at Killeen...
I do, too. Of course our old boy Picasso walks in tail wagging, happy to see anyone who will pay attention to him, whereas Gunner only wags his tail until he sees Dr. S. .....then his happiness turns...
Thanks Dr. Buckley,
we most certainly do not want to go backwards. Picasso will then be back to your office next week:). Thanks for the good care you and your staff give to our babies. We appreciate...
We had to bring our old lab in this week with a huge sore on his chin/neck area. He was diagnosed with a large hot spot that got infected. With the meds and the spray he looks so much better already....
I am not allowed near strays anymore. They have a way of stealing my heart. Dr. Doolittle says the house is full=;
And I know it, too... just had to be ornry back at ya........;):bluerofl
dawglover, that is NOT funny. I am picturing your poor dog with no teeth............
et64, I believe it has to do with the heat. I see the same with one of my labs. She does not chew herself bloody, but she is nibbling constantly on herself. I talked to my petsitter about it a couple...
I put ice in the water bucket throughout the summer as our tab water is way more than luke warm at this time of year. None of mine like ice straight. They do drink huge amounts of water when its so...
I know you were being funny... you do know that you have a reputation, don't you?!:rolleyes
Good Lord, I have all kinds of replies to take care of:
NO, you need to behave.... I am not a Killeen person; my dogs and I have been residing in H. H. for 13 years:)
Brian, you are an instigator...
Awesome. Is there a projected time?
Just wondering if we have a dog park anywhere in Killeen, H. H., Cove area?
TI, I do not see mine either:(
I love it. No prejudice there. Thanks for sharing.
Our first dog (a mutt) was terrified of thunderstorms and fireworks. He would go hiding in one of the closets for hours.
I live in Harker Heights and have a Gardenia in front of my house. It took a good two years to get it established, but it is doing great now. I planted it in the shade of one of our oaks and I hardly...
My husband says they also have a hell of a bite.......
Rottie_mama, love the pic of your baby; girl or boy?
That is what we used years ago to treat our yard. We had adopted a puppy that came down with parvo three days later. The vet told us to use a 10% bleach solution to thoroughly spray our yard.
Just beautiful. She will be a BIG girl:) I love big dogs. Have our two labs and Gunner, a Great Dane/Rottie mix who looks like a small horse when he struts through the house!
Can we see a picture of her once you get her? Please! I would love to see what she looks like; I did not know there was such a breed. See, even we teachers NEVER stop learning;)
FP, thinking about you and your family. Cherish the fun and wonderful memories you all have of her. Keep some pics around the house; they will make you smile many times over. Sending love your way:07:
Gunner is not aggressive at all; he just likes to chase... and that is the problem with the cats. They are so used to have the run of the house without being bothered; our own two labs play with...
I need sound advice quickly. We are having my son's dog come to live with us while he and his family are assigned to a new duty station overseas. Gunner is huge... a Great Dane/Rottie mix weighing in...
I am posting this thread in hopes to hear from current military members. My son and his family are moving to Germany in February. They have one family pet (dog). My son and daughter in-law have told...
See, one NEVER stops learning:|
How is the patient doing? Still lounging on the couch?
You all, I am sitting here crying my eyes out as I am reading this thread. Both our dogs were cremated at Bookers. The first one was scattered on their property; we did that because he loved laying...
I am at the middle school level (Science) and absolutely loved it. I did not use all the lessons presented, rather followed their lesson outlines and pulled in other "stuff" I liked. I also work very...
He just randomly "lost" it. No particular place. For the doggie diapers check with the local pet stores or online.
Doggie diapers will help with it. You said he is fixed, right? It really might just be a much weaker bladder. Our Golden Retriever had accidents his last year; it was not "territory marking" at all.
