Thanks again Rick for seeing fit to swing by with leftovers. They were great.
Good, glad you liked it.
We did about 104 plates last night and we are having our St. Patrick's dinner tonight. Corned beef and cabbage.
Busy weekend for the few of us who work these events.
Well, it was great as usual Rick. Again, thanks for caring about me. ST
The St. Patrick's day dinner, corned beef, cabbage, carrots and potatoes, we served tonight was the best meal I've had at one of our dinners. Our guys did a great job.
Unfortunately, we did run out. I apologize, I would have loved to bring you some. It was amazing.
No fish fry this Friday, they will be at the Lometa rattlesnake festival on Saturday.
I won't be working that one since our granddaughter is coming on Saturday and I'll be gone all day Sunday at the race...Plus, I don't like snakes.
Our Good Friday fish fry will be at the Holy Family Catholic Church's social hall from 5:30 - 7:30 or until we run out.
Busy night. 190 plates, we ran out of everything except fries and hush puppies.
I wonder why they call them hush puppies.
The story I hear was that when southern folks fried fish they would also toss in some dough to fry and then throw it to the dogs just to keep them quiet. They would tell them to "hush puppies" Ergo the name.
Can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Let us do the cooking, tomorrow night, 11 August, from 5:30 -7:30 fish fry.
Fish is breaded and ready to go for a swim in our fryer.
