Missed y'all!
Caring for a parent with dementia is a tough time in a family's life. A trying period with that member waxing and waning in and out present time, reality and the change in personality.
Having others not close to the member understand what is happening is a challenge as well. Glad she had you in her life so no one could take advantage and undermine her safety.
Sorry for your loss and I personally understand what you went through every day.
Amen to that. If we are fortunate enough to have parents and grandparents who live into their 80s and 90s, most of us will deal with this to at least some degree. It's beyond trying when the ones we love are no longer themselves.
The prosecution of Darren Meade and his partners at the law firm of Jaburg & Wilk has commenced up in Iowa.
These type of crimes take years to see through.
If the prosecutor is successful, this matter will set a long overdue precedence in the area of section 230 of the CDA.
We all know that yelling "Fire" on an airplane is not free speech, but in fact words calculated to alarm, and subject to criminal prosecution.
In this instance, attorney Maria Speth has offered to sell "No Follow" codes which are embedded HTML code in web pages, that keep Google from indexing a page in it's search results.
Linking phrases like "Child Molester" "Pipe Bomber" and similar inflammatory content to the victims name, then selling a removal of the same for profit, is legal under today's law of the land.
This case is about getting that matter looked at by a jury, and convicting evil doers that sell that service.
In this batson motion, you will see that Maria Speth (http://www.jaburgwilk.com/our-people/maria-crimi-speth) attempted to sell "no follow" codes as the condition of a settlement agreement to not prosecute her partner Ed Magedson.
The prosecutor declined her offer as he should have.
Maria sent this email to the prosecutor, which clearly shows her mindset:

Now that State & Federal Courts are looking at this matter, it is my belief that new law will be formed.
Anyways, that is where I have been, and why I have not been posting for weeks.
Darren Meade's trial start tomorrow.
Would you like me to move this post?
Move it to some "geek" thread. I have no idea what he's talking about. :)
Now Dave, don't be goin' all "bossy pants!" :))
