It's a very nice story, but I'm surprised by the number of people that have a problem with a white family adopting a black child. Some whites believe that white families should stick with white children. Some blacks are put off by yet another story about a caring white family saving a poor black kid.
Personally, I have no problem with it, but at the same time I will not judge any family that puts race as a factor in who they prefer to adopt. It has to work out for both the child and the parents.
