I took these the other morning and thought I'd share. I had two of them fighting for the feeder and this little guy won. You can't see it in the pic, but he's got the prettiest iridescent red band around his neck and an iridescent green chest.

Our hummers haven't migrated yet. Still a little early and still warm around the Phoenix area. Supposed to be 106 today, so it's to warm for them to be here right now. Give them about 6 weeks or so to get here.

I have a couple of teenee tiny ones. There must be a nest nearby. I keep "Texas Flames" (a flowering bush with red/yellow tubular flower buds) planted and attract many too.

I love hearing them buzz by like large bees.

Last summer, we planted one of those mail order flowering hummingbird vines. The vine is still growing but hasn't produced one flower since we planted it. And Mother really hates the hummingbird feeders.
