If you have all noticed the little status update place under your name, click on the pencil if you want to update it. It is a "facebookish" application that Rick just installed. If you use Firefox, you can also update your "mood."

The "status updates" are seen at the bottom of the main home page.

Have fun!

Is it possible to add something like an "agree/disagree" button where one can just click whether they agree or disagree with a certain post rather than writing a 10 line dissertation about it?

Scarlett

The "Thanks" button is sort of an "Agree."

;)

I am getting with the programmer to see if he will be able to fix it so that it works with Internet Explorer.

Night Owl

Rick I will hold the programmer I you will beat him. :thumbsup

Rick
September 8th, 2010, 2:55 PM
Careful, I gave him a login so that he can check it out.

Night Owl

I understand he is a one armed midget. No problem.:))

Rick,
It doesn't appear to work with Safari either. Can you check with the programer on that one? Meanwhile, I'm on my way to Firefox.

Scarlett
September 8th, 2010, 8:22 PM
It works on mine!

Gramps
September 8th, 2010, 8:24 PM
OK, it's not working with Firefox either. I click on the Moods link and nothing happens. Must be another Mac thing.

Rick
September 8th, 2010, 8:26 PM
Hold on, he had me change some code earlier. He just sent me a message to change it back. That may have caused the problem.

I will let you know when to try it.

I click on the pencil and it shows the link "mood" but nothing happens when I click it.

Rick
September 8th, 2010, 8:30 PM
Ok, it now works with Firefox. Let me know if it works in Safari. After his enthusiastic message about debugging Internet Explorer, I sure hope Safari works...LOL

Rick
September 8th, 2010, 8:33 PM
You will know it is working right when you click on the Mood Pencil, you will see the little down arrow. Click that and you will see the options.

That only works in FireFox at this time.

Texas Immigrant
September 8th, 2010, 8:35 PM
Still nothin' for me. I'm using Firefox.

Gramps
September 8th, 2010, 8:37 PM
It's now working with both Firefox and Safari for me.

Texas Immigrant
September 8th, 2010, 8:40 PM

Scarlett

Texas Immigrant

Gramps
September 8th, 2010, 8:53 PM

Scarlett
September 8th, 2010, 8:57 PM

Rick
September 8th, 2010, 8:59 PM
Ya, this is strange. Noone's is showing up for mine.

Rick
September 8th, 2010, 9:01 PM
Now they are. I think they don't show up in the Quick Reply until you do a refresh on the page.

Rick
September 8th, 2010, 9:02 PM
Yep, that is what happened in Internet Explorer. Trying Firefox now.

Rick
September 8th, 2010, 9:03 PM
Yep, same thing. My status didn't show up until I refreshed.

Too bad intoxicated isn't a mood.

Scarlett
September 8th, 2010, 10:11 PM
We need a "mood" that says...hmmm..."Expert."

Rick
September 8th, 2010, 10:18 PM
It's called "Rick" and it is mine, all mine!!!

NO is an aggie now!!!

Rick
September 8th, 2010, 10:20 PM
We need more than five status updates on the front page.

Let me go look for the code for that.

Scarlett
September 8th, 2010, 10:20 PM
Disclaimer: Rick is currently intoxicated.

Rick
September 8th, 2010, 10:29 PM
Perhaps, but you might want to take a look and see that it now shows ten status updates.

Who's awesome now?

Scarlett
September 8th, 2010, 10:31 PM
Me. Just me. You are a techy geek...I am the striking personality that makes this place pure awesomeness. ::)

Texas Immigrant

You two crack me up, I'm so glad you're back in full force Scarlett.

Gramps
September 9th, 2010, 5:53 AM
OK, so how do you delete a mood entirely once it's set. I can change it, but can't seem to get rid of it.

Rick
September 9th, 2010, 6:17 AM
I'll have to look into this.

Rick
September 9th, 2010, 7:31 AM
I added an image file that is the same color as the background. Select it and it'll look like mine does now.

That's the best I can do now. Will check more into it when I get home.

gnatsum
September 9th, 2010, 5:35 PM
Not sure what I'll change it TO, but I'll peruse the list...

kantwin
September 9th, 2010, 5:42 PM
Why do I see the "Click on the pencil to change your status" for everyone when they don't have a status listed?
Shouldn't the text not be shown on other's posts, only on my own?

Rick
September 9th, 2010, 5:54 PM
That's the default status. You should only be able to change your status.

kantwin
September 9th, 2010, 6:32 PM
Rick,
That's true, but it is strange that I see the text to click on a pencil, but there is no pencil on other's posts.
To me, and maybe it's just me, but wouldn't it make more sense to not see that text?

Rick
September 10th, 2010, 4:12 AM
Ya, I know what you mean. The program's default was --- and a pencil, so I thought it would be helpful to put the instruction there.

I'm open to suggestions.

kantwin
September 10th, 2010, 5:07 AM
I got nothin' for ya. Other than what was mentioned.

I goofed around with the mood choices for the first time but now find that it can't be undone, or at the best a different mood must be chosen. Is there a way to blank that out?
