Dumped dog

Today someone (SOB) left a very young dog on our door step in the heat without food or water in a shoe box. It is black and white with brown running through it..sort of brindle looking. Our vet is out until the 14th. Have never had a pup so young. Any suggestions on what I should do with him until we can get him to the vet? Going to buy puppy food now and will post a picture later. We have three other dogs but need to get this fellow checked before we make a decision as to wheather or not we should keep him.

I would keep him away from other dogs at least until the vet runs bloodwork and checks him for worms.

My neighbor when I was in Killeen lost both their dogs to parvo.

We lost one once, and decided we would never slack on shots on our dogs ever since. We take great care of our dogs now. It is a commitmnent when you have dogs, you have to take care of them, and we learned the hard way.

Belton Small Animal Clinic on main street in Belton is a wonderful clinic. Dr. Hankins and Dr. Davis are fantastic. They take walk-ins in case you don't want to wait til your vet comes back.
