Squash Bugs

Does anyone know how to get rid of Squash Bugs? I have been seeing alot of eggs under the leaves.

Ortho used to make a spray - Malathion (spelling?? - or something along those lines).
You'd mix it in a hose end spray and go to work. Works great.

Is it marigolds that you're supposed to put all around your garden, to keep bugs away?
