I am sorry if I have been absent.

I recently had my braces taken off and then had to return to my dentist for additional work and have not slept well for a couple of nights. But I now feel great and am getting back to myself.

This has been life changing for me, for as a child my mother could not afford the braces and I had made this decision along with running for office about the same time.

If you are considering braces as an adult PM me and I will help motivate you to do this. :)

My son is young, 8 years old, and he had braces put on in January. I'm so glad we did, I can already see a difference and here a difference in his speech. He his speech issues. Also, because his mouth is still growing, the braces that we've put on so far have made it possible that we won't need the spreading device that was supposed to go in the roof of his mouth. Old or young, if you need braces you should seriously think about it.

I bet your teeth look great, I hope you get to sleeping better soon.

I had them done at age 31 for 2 years and it wasn't bad at all. A lot of people didn't even notice them, except for the skinny 16 year old bag boy at HEB that asked me, "So, who's your ortho?" as he was bagging my groceries. :O)

Forgot to add, I had them in high school for a couple years and had to wear the spreader before the braces. In my 20's I had all my wisdom teeth removed and my teeth shifted terribly so I decided to get braces on again in my 30's.

I need a good ortho for my son...he is 10. Gonna need to be getting braces soon...any recommendations?
One dentist we went to said that due to his "bite" he was going to need to have his jaw broken and reset...I am not the least bit fond of that plan so need more opinions!
He is a hemophiliac as well, so I need super duper good specialist type ortho!

We love Smile at the World. It's on WS Young, behind the library.

Dr. Solomon at "Smile at the World" did mine too.

Dr. Barron is the same office did my sons.

Dr. Barron did my braces and he was wonderful. My only complaint was being 31 years old and having to watch Spongebob while in the dentist chair. :))

Better than watching Barney.
