Cen-Tex Humane 2nd Chance has new forum

The centexhumanesociety.com (http://centexhumanesociety.com) website sports a new forum. In an effort to support community pet issues and facilitate adoptions, as well as finding homes for pets, we have started a BB with a number of forums that can be used by staff, volunteers and the community.

Previously, new arrivals were posted on Petfinder once a week, but now we can post them sooner on the forum since we do not need to fill out forms in order to upload the pictures. The Petfinder listings will continue, of course.

We have a section where people can advertise animals they need to find homes for, so that maybe they can succeed without having to turn their pets into the shelter.

This is not a discussion forum.

Why not post them here? We get a lot more viewers. It's something we can talk about. We might be able to make a new subcategory.

Grand idea, Rick! I'm surprised it took you so long to come up with it. I think you could label it "Pet Talk" and make "Ask the Vet" a sub forum of it. I like this idea.

Ya ... so it took me eons to come back to this thread. I need an assistant to find my head... is anyone up to the position? :)

I would be more than happy to post lost and found animals here if that is alright.... watch out!! And thank you VERY much for the offer :) A separate forum would possibly be easier for people to browse the lost and found animals, since they often need to stay listed for quite some time and would then be lost in the shuffle of other discussions...

I will play with the gallery settings to see what we can come up with.

With the new software, I might be able to just give you a Blog and let you go to town on that. We'll see.
