Some people might be wondering how to tell if there are new messages. By default, when you first logged in, all topics were marked as UNREAD. Instead of going through and reading every topic, Just click on the Mark Topics Read (http://centextalk.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?do=markread) link on the forum Main Page, then whenever a new topic appears, it will light up.
You will be able to see the difference between Topics with new posts and those with old posts.
There is also a little Down Arrow in the Thread Display to show threads that have not been read and it will disappear after you read it.
In the column right side display, there is a little arrow pointing to the right. Clicking this will take you directly to the last post in the topic.
