Got my Ellison season tickets a month ago. They are playing A and M consolidated (out of district game) Thursday night. Not sure how my crippled wife is going to get up to her seat, but I do know who gets to go fetch the Frito Pies.

Most of them just wild guesses because at this point we don't know how good any of them are.

I may have to alter my prediction of Cove this year. I was basing my prediction that they may win district on Jack Welch's and the new coach's comments plus the two JV undefeated district champ teams
moving up to varsity. After the scrimmage against Buda Hays Consolidated the new coach states "we are a young team". Tells me they aren't as good as we thought. Time will tell. Pretty tough nine team
district now.

Saw Coach Dave Gaskamp in Church a few weeks ago.. He said he was going back on staff at KHS. Hope they do well.

I'm not sure how much I will follow KISD ball this year. However, I will be closely following Stephen F Austin middle school from Bryan and Bryan high school closely. My son is helping to coach both teams through his direct studies program. :-)

Sounds like the Eagles has a bunch of 1st game jitters/rust (dropped passes, turnovers,etc) plus some players got banged up, but A&M is also really good too.

We left at half time... Too painful to watch..

There were 2 coaches sitting behind us making comments on what they saw, and they were pretty accurate. Conditioning was not great, and the defense was slow off the line. Pretty bad first show, and coach has a long way to go.

Get 'em next time though.

Heard the Shoemaker game and..they had their chances against SA Central. Had a couple TDs called back & another potential one dropped. They’re gonna need big improvement with the center snaps. But it sounds like their athleticism gave Central some fits.
