Ok, I gotta ask.... what do you think about this woman who just gave birth to 8 babies, and already has 6 others....

reason I ask is one of the ladies at work was talking about it, and I have been seeing it all over the news, talk shows, etc....

whats yall's opinion of it?

CenTexDave

Unmarried. 14 kids.
Hopefully they sterilized this baby factory. Of course, everyone will be paying for her kids for years to come. She's unemployed, although I'm sure she'll make a few million $$ from selling the story to this.

California is predicted to spend over $2 million upfront to take care of these children. Strollers, cribs, automobiles, a home (hers is currently in foreclosure), clothing, etc etc. This because a complete idiot went to a complete idiot of a doctor and got serviced.

hmmmmmmmmmmm.... wondering...................how many bedrooms will be required for these kids? Bathrooms? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........wondering............... .California is 50billion in the red and now they have to fork out this kind of money.

Ladies do you see a way to get rich. Move to CA and have 8 kids and let the state pay for them. Who is the real idiot in this picture?

Another thing that upset me about this terrible situation is the way the mother thought she would be considered "special". She is attractive, has a nice smile, and talks somewhat persuasively. She is typical of what some people get away with and expect from others, when they have been given special treatment in the past. :( She is like the politician that is attractive and has a great line of bs...people will fall in line unless someone calls BS and speaks out about it. This has happened to this lady. What a sad mess. #:-s)

Have you seen the stories about her shopping sprees? In Nordstrom's buying Mac cosmetics, etc.? What a L-) !

And how much do you think it cost to get those lips pumped up like that??? No doubt about it...she's got Angelina Jolie-envy; don't know why. One sick puppy.

Just another perfect example of bleeding heart liberalism at its worst. Let anyone even SUGGEST that she should not be allowed to breed and just watch the American Criminal Liberties Union come running to her rescue.

In order to get a driver's license nowadays you have to take a driver's course, written test, eye test, and prove to an examiner via a road test that you are at least minimally competent behind the wheel. However, any idiot can get themselves impregnated with more kids than they have any hope of supporting and the bleeding hearts will rush in with how it's their right, blah blah blah...makes me sick.

Why is she even allowed to keep these children? Just because she served as a womb and incubator? So what!? She is unmarried, unemployed, no visible means of supporting the kids she already has, and in my opinion, having six children already and getting oneself into a position to have 8 more constitutes at best child neglect (because she can't possibly take care of all of them properly) and at worst is child abuse for the same reason. She should be imprisoned for attempted robbery from the tax payers of the State of California and those children should be sent to live with families that can care for them.

Plus, who is the quack who actually did the artificial insemination and egg planting anyway? Was there no process to check the background of the woman? Did she just walk in off the street and go "OK, gimme 8 of those, and I'd like it very much if you did it right away, thanks."

Where's that **** soap box?

Both the conservatives and liberals have a voice in this! Liberals say should be able to breed like this and the conservatives scream foul at the suggestion of terminating two or more of the emryos! Something wrong with both sides if you ask me! This whole thing makes me sick! Saw ol' Nancy grace on dr. phil yesterday talking about the doctors wanting the octo-mom to remove a couple of the embryos and nancy acted like they were asking her to remove a limb! nancy said that her doctors suggested she terminate one of her twins as well and she refused. I guess they figured her body couldnt handle TWO babies and her ego at the same time! Anyway those 14 kids will suffer as a group and i would imagine that she will be under the constant scrutiny of cps! Eventually i see these kids being removed from her custody and placed in foster care! That is unless she scores millions of dollars in handouts! I have wonder what will happen to the child that has autism! I imagine he will end up in some kind of home being taken care of by strangers! Thats just :cussing :cussing wrong!
I guess whats done is done and we can all hope for the best for these children with such a depraved mother!

I was thinking that this woman's on welfare having babies and trying to buy a multi-million dollar house. I hope her application is denied. She should be on birth control, AND USE IT. I think they should do away with the darn welfare. Just my opinion. But then again, she could be like me and have a friggin' doctor who seems to think women don't need birth control or have to wear an IUD (or something similar). I got rid of that friggin' doctor PDQ. And screw you if you can't wear the d*** IUD.

We (including most people on here, I think), as Americans, are caught between expecting responsible, intelligent behavior, wanting what should be right, correct, and common sense...and being made to feel guilty. That is a major problem with our whole society today.....jmo.

Except for the fact that WE now have to pay for it, this shouldn't be news.

I heard someone advance the notion that this woman may have an Angelina Jolie complex.

Octamom on the left, Jolie on the right.

Lips look like they may have been worked on, all those kids. Except for the fact that Angelina Jolie HAS A JOB. They may have a point.

I think it would be a good start if we just had some kind of restrictions on people who can vote...yes, kind of like the old literacy tests, ...but, then, [-( that's not going to happen...especially now.

WHITTIER, Calif. – Octuplet mother Nadya Suleman says the hormonal surge of pregnancy is what drove her to make a wild 911 call when one of her children wandered off last year.
In a video posted on celebrity news Web site RadarOnline.com (http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/ap/ap_on_re_us/storytext/octuplets/31196454/SIG=10oaab44v/*http://RadarOnline.com) on Thursday, Suleman says she was right to call 911 when her 5-year-old son went missing, but she overreacted because she was pregnant with her octuplets and her hormones were out of control.
In the Oct. 27 call released by police on Wednesday, Suleman repeatedly told an emergency dispatcher she was going crazy and she was going to kill herself. The boy returned unharmed.
Suleman, an unemployed single mother, has come under scrutiny since giving birth to octuplets Jan. 26 because she already had six other children, ages 2 to 7."

Sorry, but I don't quite understand. What is a "hormonal surge of pregnancy"?

If you have kids, you should be able to support those kids. If you can't support them because your dumb butt went out and had 8 more put in you, then the children should go to someone that can support them. There are many caring adoptive homes out there that will give love that those babies deserve.

What were these people thinking? and what kind of a doctor would fertilize an unemployed mother of 6 with 8 more embryos. :beathorse

THEMEANOGRE
March 10th, 2009, 10:02 AM
I don't believe her fertility doctor will be able to do that anymore. Didn't he lose his license to practice in California? It is kind of a pity that any punishment came too late to protect the tax payers of California. But on the plus side, I don't think it could've happened to a better group of people.

the worst part of this ,other than the womans stupidity, is that now I think the government will try to put regulations on fertility docs. yes they should be held accountable in cases such as these. this doctor knowingly helped this woman bring 8kids into the mix, & now the honest couple trying to procreate will pay the price along with us tax payers. but do we really want the government telling us how many childern we can have? i know i sound a bit crazy but its not far from it.

Comrade Christine,

The people have already spoken! Our Fearless Leader will add this to the list of rights to take away from you right after he is done nationalizing banks, paying off your neighbor's mortgage, and releasing all the freedom fighters from Guantanamo Bay.

Look at the bright side... once such restrictions are put in place, illegal fetuses will be ground up for stem cell research! No more octomoms and we will have better viagra! Who says socialism doesn't work!

Like I said previously, some people should be neutered and not be permitted to breed.
If I was the state, or county - whoever is handling this famous Octu-Mom's case - I'd put her under a microscope, cut of all assistance and welfare, and take the kids, to include the first six she had (probably by 6 different fathers).

Scarlett
March 24th, 2009, 10:32 AM
I believe ALL 14 kids have the SAME SPERM DONOR...they were ALL artificially conceived...by the same donor.

CenTexDave
March 24th, 2009, 11:12 AM
I knew this last batch of 8 was artifically conceived, but the first six??
Two things apparent here: 1. Octo-Mom obviously knows the welfare system. More kids = more $$.
2. The doctor should have his license revoked.

THEMEANOGRE
March 24th, 2009, 11:29 AM
I have an A #1 idea! Since the doctor was in on the whole thing from start to finish. Why not make HIM pay to support those kids? Especially since, I think, he lost his license. And make that support retroactive!

Scarlett
March 24th, 2009, 11:59 AM
And FYI, the sperm donor has NO rights or obligations to these children.

I think the friggin' doctor who went and "did his thing" with the sperm donor should have lost his license when he "did his thing" the first time. I think if any more women want to do like Octo-mom did, the women should be told where to go and to get the h*** out of their office. I think those doctors are stupid for wanting to help those ladies get pregnant just to get welfare/public assistance.
