50 years ago today the Cleveland Browns won their last championship as they beat the Baltimore Colts and Johnny Unitas, 27-0. Baltimore had the better record and was 17 point favorites. The game was played at the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium on the shoes of Lake Erie which guaranteed a cold and windy environment. After a scoreless first half the Browns exploded for 27 points in the second half. Dr. Frank Ryan threw 3 TD passes to Browns' split end Gary Collins, Jim Brown ran for 102 and Lou "the Toe" Groza booted two field goals. Late in the 4th quarter Groza missed a FG. Nobody gave a damn by then. I was there, and it was the last championship for any Cleveland team.
With the morons in charge there now - thinking Manziel is their savior and the other worthless #1 picks they have made - it will be another 50 years before they win another.
Thank God for Ohio State. Remember - there are 3 teams in Ohio. The only one that matters is in Columbus. :)

And just to show you how screwed up this team is -they just suspended Josh Gordon for tomorrow's game against the Ravens for violation of team rules. Ghetto punk should just be waived. During the off season will probably have another 2 DUI's and drug offenses.

Rememeber the Indians were an inning away from winning the Wolrld Series in the late 90's against the Marlins.

I remember the Indians were one out away. Another heart breaker.
