I agree 100%. I'm sure he can catch on with some arena league team.:)

Or Smack Down and one of those fight shows... But only if he's in the ring with a helpless woman that he can smack around...

My only problem is with her... Why in the hell would anyone want to marry, and stay with a loser like that?

I'm sure that there are a million reasons... None of them would pass muster with me, that's for sure. Any man who smacks a woman needs to have the crap beaten out of him and put somewhere where he can never hurt another woman for as long as his miserable life exists.

Hmmmmmmm, makes one think about why she would stay with Rice. I am sure that it has to do with his income. Now that his income is now ZERO, will she stay with him. It seems these two belong together.

I have watched the video a few times and have noticed that she pops him before they get on the elevator and immediately once on the elevator. He pops her back and then she aggressively lunges towards him and that is when he hits her and knocks her out cold.

Wondering if she abuses him? The dynamic of the relationship may be what we see and the camera caught a very dysfunctional couple.

Not saying either deserves anything or defending anyone just an observation.

A couple of ghetto rats. Normal behavior.

The folks on MSNBC say the NFL is shocked, shocked, by the footage from within the elevator, which they say the casino hotel had refused to release to them. :rolleyes However, the casino reportedly says the NFL never asked for it.

It's all about the Benjamins. If the tape hadn't gone public, he'd still be playing.

One might wonder how the NFL should ask for a video which they have no reason to believe existed until someone made it public.

The news releases I saw said that the NFL asked the police for the video, not the hotel, and that the hotel was never asked.

At any rate, it is all that is leading the news stories right now, and I am personally getting real tired real fast of hearing about this loser.

Let's see how long this marriage made in heaven lasts when old rock-em sock-em Rice is selling used cars in Fresno.

I've read contradicting things about it. One said because it was in a casino the NJ State Police had the video. NJSP denied that and said it was under Atlantic City PD to investigation. Yada, yada, yada.......pass the buck.
I also read an article this morning where the wife has blasted the media, states she hopes everyone is happy now that they have ruined their lives. No girl - you and your husband ruined it when you decided to duke it out in an elevator.

Fresno, doubt it, he is from New York and went to College in Rutgers, alas I must claim him.....he is from my neck of the woods...good grief. Ray Lewis said he was disappointed with him. Apparrently Ray Rice didnt have Ray Lewis' attorney.....

After seeing the complete video it seems like Ms Rice has a anger management problem. She was the aggressor in this incident. It started outside the elevator and then continues once they were on the elevator.

Hmmmmmmmm, libs want "equal" rights for women. Their big thing now is equal pay. With that being said it seems they don't want equal rights when it comes to being aggressive. They think it is ok for a woman to strike a man and the man it just susposed to stand there and allow it to happen. My thought is once a woman hits a man then she has proven she is no longer protected and the man has the right to defend himself. Equal is equal or is that actually not the case. Would I strike a woman? Nope, but I can understand why it happens.

My sister clocked when we were kids. I punched her back square in the stomach. She ran in an told Dad. That was my worst belt whooping I have recieved in my short 51 years of living. The whole time Dad was wearing me out I kept crying back she hit me first..... the last thing he said to me was never hit a woman, walk away. I do not agree where hitting a woman, if she hits you first has anyhting to do with politics, liberal, conservative, or tea party.

Proportionality! A mosquito bites me and I retaliate with a 50 cal?

Striking a woman after she has first struck you cannot be justified as defense, it is brute retaliation.

If I see the blow coming and in blocking it I break her arm, that is self-defense.

Ok, agree with that, duck, block, grab the implement, got it. Ray Rice bounced her head off the rail in the elevator. That is wrong. Even if she kicked him square in the crotch, he shouldnt have bounced her face off the rail.

It depends on the circumstances I think. She was obviously drunk as a skunk and the aggressor.

I understand there are many men who won't strike a woman. We were taught not to hit women. That was before this women lib movement and equal rights. Do they really want equal rights? No, only those rights that benefit them. If they want to be equal then they need to take the good with the bad. I have known a few women that could wipe the floor with most men. Nope, if they are the aggressor then the man needs to do what he needs to do to protect himself. Rice went too far in this case. But those people who support equal rights are hyprocrites in this case. Ms Rice was the aggressor she needs help, but now she is the victim because of her own behavior.

I wondered the same thing, why did she marry him? A guy that will do that in public will do the same in private.

Very true. Look at that sleeze bag that led to the downfall of the owner of the L.A. Clippers.

Well, they did get married. I'm sure they were both kind of drunk that night. It made her aggressive. It made him unemployed.

The news last night was that he's already received about $25 m up front. He gets to keep that. I'm not sorry for either of them.

They were whining about the media treatment. Solution: don't read it or watch it. Don't give interviews. Take a vacation or just keep the door closed. In a week the public will lose interest.

$25M, but his agent gets at least 20%, and don't forget Uncle Sam. Still, they have plenty left to live a life of luxury.
