That's neat. Wonder if he'll finally cut the tree down if Baylor wins Saturday? :)

Don't know, but I doubt it. :))

This match-up each year is Bipolar Day at our house. We are both Baylor AND UT fans.

I like both also, but would like for once to see Baylor win the Big 12, although would just be a co-championship with OSU unless Zero U beats the Cowboys Saturday.
Baylor still has a good chance for a BCS bowl if they win. I saw some of the bowl projections today - some lousy match ups if they come off. This BCS garbage and bowl tie-ins to conferences need to stop. Can hardly wait to watch Univ of Central Florida in the Orange Bowl. lol

Moreland is an awesome guy! I have been to a few of his concerts and met him a time or two. Never a dull moment with him on stage!

Man, I looked into buying tickets for the Cotton Bowl and they are already sold out!

And the teams haven't even been announced! Crazy.
Always have the Texas Bowl and Alamo Bowl. And I think there's another one up in fort Worth - Bell Helicopter Bowl or some such crazy name.

I remember when the only games in town were the Sugar Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl, and Rose Bowl.

Back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

I saw one of the bowl prediction sites the other day had Baylor vs A&M in the Cotton Bowl. The other had A&M playing in some bowl game in Atlanta...I would love to see A&M vs t.u. in the Cotton Bowl!

I'm keeping an eye out on the predictions. I saw one that had the Ducks at the Alamo Bowl. My son loves them (however, nothing beats Tech) so that may be a Christmas gift if it pans out.

Jan. 1
Rose
Pasadena, Calif.
Michigan State (BCS at-large) vs. Stanford (Pac-12 champ)

Jan. 1
Fiesta
Glendale, Ariz.
Oklahoma State (Big 12 champ) vs. Northern Illinois (BCS at-large)

Jan. 2
Sugar
New Orleans
Auburn (SEC champ) vs. UCF (AAC champ)

Jan. 3

Orange
Miami
Clemson (BCS at-large) vs. Alabama (BCS at-large)

Jan. 6

BCS championship
Pasadena

Florida State (BCS No. 1) vs. Ohio State (BCS No. 2)

Sorry this cut and paste didn't work, but this is Sports Illustrated's bowl projections for the major bowl games. What a crock. Wow - can't hardly wait to see Auburn blow out UCF by 50, or Oklahoma State roll Northern Illinois. Meanwhile, some real good teams with one or two losses get the Toilet Bowl. Just reinforces that BCS means Big Crock of Sh*t.

My grandson loves the Ducks, too. In fact, he asked for some Oregon football receiver gloves for Christmas, and I can't find any. He's only 10, so the men's small would still be too big for him. Wish I could find some.

Yeah, A&M and U.T. would be fun.......FOR YOU, probably not for me! :crying

(Bless your heart.....one of these days, you're going to be able to avoid that rascally typo!)

Try amazon and ebay. I do probably 75% of my son's Christmas shopping on ebay.

A&M and UT in the Cotton Bowl? If Baylor beats the Horns this Saturday UT will be lucky to get something like the Mud Bowl.
There's been a lot of conjecture that once this BCS garbage goes away next year that the Cotton Bowl could become a major player again.
Inviting UT, just because it's UT, certainly would be a letdown. I'm all for A&M playing in it - they're still a real good team. Let the Horns go play in the Humanitarian Bowl against Brigham Young. Oh wait, BYU already dusted them. :))

I've already checked. I just don't think there are any Ducks ones in youth sizes. Thanks!

You're so bad, Dave. But I can't even muster any outrage. I've had it with Mack and group this year.

BTW, has anyone else noticed how detached Brown seems from what's going on around him? I'm wondering if he's sick or something. He doesn't look right lately.

Was just pointing out that if the Cotton Bowl wants to return to being one the MAJOR bowls, you don't invite an 8-4 team, which UT would be if Baylor beats them this Saturday.

An 8-4 team from the SEC is different than a non 8-4 SEC team...they would probably be in 1st place in most other conferences! :))

You forgot the ACC, Big 10 and PAC 12...ain't no way (sorry English teachers) that those current conference leaders would have 1 or fewer losses if they played against teams from the SEC for an ENTIRE season. Anyone can get lucky and win a game but I don't see them going through the SEC (especially the West division) with just 1 or no losses, just ain't happenin'!!!

CenTexDave

I agree, top to bottom the SEC is the toughest conference.

Most conferences do. Look at the Pac-12 or Big Ten.
Oregon lost to Stanford. UCLA lost to Stanford, etc. Same in the Big Ten - Wisconsin was looking good and then Penn State beat them.
Northwestern was undefeated until they played Ohio State and then went on a nose dive throughout conference play.
