Outstanding. Impressive considering Wesley is ranked #5.

35-0 after three.

That #5 team has a total 26 yards of offense. Cru defense is stout.

I have to say, I almost felt sorry for Wesley college for having to come in to that house to play. I don't think anyone could have imagined how intense the crowd was going to be. The stadium was a sea of purple all the way around. It was electric. I was in awe from the minute we walked in and made our way to our seats. Numerous concession stands, all with lines, ten people deep and the workers did a great job serving people fast. There's even a souvenir stand selling stadium and Crusader merchandise. The student sections were lively and I don't think they sat down all night. People all around were enjoying themselves.

It was my wife's first ever football game and the crowd/college football experience really impressed her.

I kept thinking how those who started the program must have felt tonight. Coach Fredenburg, Dr. Baucom, the long time stadium announcer, those who put blood, sweat, and tears into that program. And not just football, they honored the men's basketball team for making it to the national championship game, then at halftime, the ladies golf team was presented with their national championship rings.

I have been going to all the home games since 2002, when I started taking classes on campus full time, and on the way, I told my wife how it was going to be nice not to have to fight off the bees that were swarming all the spilled soda from the Belton Tigers game the night before.

As often happens, after the game, the two teams not only shook hands, but they knelt down together at midfield for a prayer. True class on display.

If you are a football fan, you have to attend a game there. It is special.

Dave got a Troll Alert. Mmmmwwwahhhhhhhahhhhhahhhh! :))

Seriously, congrats all around to UMHB on the stadium, the team, the coming Ninth Street Bridge, and for being such a great and classy school. I got my teaching certificate there, so I'm sort of a non-grad alum, myself.

It was quite an opening. The fireworks were so loud, I went out and checked for air raid sirens. ::)

The smiley face fireworks were cool.

Here's what D3Football.com (http://www.d3football.com/notables/2013/09/fantastic-night-for-d3-football) had to say about the night. I say night because it was much more than just a game.
