I may not be a fan, but it still saddens me to see a program spiral down. And so it begins.....

The higher you climb, the more your rear shows, and the farther you fall. :)

His soon to be demise is being discussed on another thread.

Old Mack thinks he just saved his own hide - fired his defensive coordinator, Manny Diaz. You could kind of see that coming after giving up over 550 rushing yards to Brigham Young.
So Mack goes out and hires some guy who hasn't coached since 2009 at Michigan. Swell - back then Michigan wasn't worth a damn either. :))

You are so right, Dave. Guess that's what you get when you fire-and-hire on September 8.

My burnt-orange blood is boiling!!!

Now it looks like some big changes coming in Austin soon:

I predict that unless UT wins 11 games and gets a BCS bowl, Mack Brown will be gone by 5Jan14.

BBH was correct, there is some truth to the Saban to UT talks...

Would be nice, but don't think Saban would bite. Why would he? Probably gonna win a third straight BCS championship this year. He can write his own ticket.
But Texas is a premier job in college football. And there is another one on the West Coast that is gonna be looking for a change very soon - Southern Cal. That program is a joke now.

After denying this a while back, looks like DeLoss Dodds is gonna retire after all.

After today's bashing by Earl Campbell asking UT to fire Mack Brown, looks like ol' Mack is gonna retire too. :)

Previously, he worked for more than two decades as an executive with the NFL’s Houston Texans, the NBA’s Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers and the Houston Aeros hockey team. Luck at WVA and Ohio State's AD told them, politely, no.
Guess he was the third choice. :)
