"June 18, 2013) -- Mike Mullins resigned as head football coach at Harker Heights on Tuesday. Mullins has accepted an assistant position under Lee Fedora at Navasota. Mullins resignation is effective on June 30.Mullins went 4-7 this past season, leading the Knights back to the postseason for the first time since 2005. Harker Heights fell to No. 1 DeSoto in the 5A bi-district round 62-15. Mullins went 14-27 in his four years at the school.
Prior to coaching at Harker Heights, Mullins served as head coach at Cameron Yoe from 2003-2009."

Nice timing.

......AND it is to take a 3A assistant position. Must be a reason KISD loses good people. .... Maybe Navasota doesn't use tents for locker rooms.

I don't really understand it. He got the Knights back into the playoffs. Unfortunately they played the #1 ranked Desoto team, but they played them tough for a while.

Navasota won the 3A state title last year.

Very good. He may have gotten an excellent offer such as come on board and the following year the current head coach is gonna retire and it's all yours. Navasota might have a lot of good players coming up in the ranks now.

Highly unlikely seeing as Mullins coached the guy in high school, as mentioned in a previous post, something was afoot a old HHHS.
