Killeen is competing in PetSafe's second annual "Bark for your Park". This nationwide contest helps communities win funding for local dog parks.

The top city will win the $100,000 prize, and two additional pet-passionate finalist cities will receive $25,000 to put toward their dog park plans.

Killeen people just DGAS. Even if they wanted such a park, they would consider voting on the internet too much of a bother. Heck, only 7% of the registered voters cared enough about the city to get out and vote in municipal elections. My dogs stay in the house or back yard. When we have excess energy, we take them for a walk around the neighborhood. Even if we had a park, I would make no use of it. But, just to keep you happy, and since I have nothing better to do, I will vote twice a day and wish you luck.

I will vote 4 times a day. Twice for me and twice for my wife. Might help get Killeen dogs out of Harker Heights.:))

Large is being nice. Some of those women are HUGE. They need a beeper that sounds when they try to back up.:))
