FINALLY!!!! I thought they would try to convert him to Safety but I guess he was costing them too much to keep!

He was good in his prime, which for a CB, is usually 24-28 years old. lol

He had one maybe two good seasons and the rest is what I like to call paying for him and not taking a risk on what's out there. In the end he screwed us or has screwed us. I like the patriots way of bringing in guys for nothing and putting them in a good system. Well not this year but most years

The Pats did real well considering what they have lost the past couple of years.

Dallas signed Kyle Orton today. Why oh why can they NOT bring in someone who can actually push Romo? I don't think any position should be a lock unless they are really, really good and I don't think anyone on this current roster fits that bill except for D Ware...

Just saw that Dallas signed Brandon Carr...I hope he has a good season. The defense should play better as a whole now that they'll actually get a full offseason with Ryan's defensive schemes.

Reading the title of this thread I felt a pang of pain in my groin. I used to cowboy and cutting produced some special delicacies for some brave cowboys and for our hounds.

Don't blame me. I'm an ESL alumnus. You wrote the silly headline.

Dallas has added another player to the secondary: Brodney Pool formely of the J.E.T.S, Jets, Jets, Jets! I have no idea who this guy is or how well he played but hopefully he can't be worse than what they've had back there!

All pro numbers for sure. He'll fit right in the Dallas secondary. :))

A safety with only 36 tackles is sad indeed...unless he was a 2nd stringer.

A safety has to come up and support the run defense. With only 36 tackles is cause for concern.

I think he was injured a lot. I remember when he played for Cleveland - he was pretty good. But that was a while back. Haven't looked anything up about this guy, but he maybe in the twilight of his career.

Newman was good for giving up 1-2 (or more) big plays a game. I think the Cowboys have made a smart move by (finally) letting him go.

He was there about 2 to 3 years past his shelf life at least as a starter that is...
