Killeen has a limit on the number of pets you can have. I am at the limit but was curious if it would pertain to me if I decided to foster a dog thus raising my "herd" to five or more. Anyone know?

Killeen has NO limit. If you live on Fort Hood, or in an apartment complex or rent a house, there is/may be a limit to animals you may have, but the City of Killeen does NOT have a limit.

In animal friendly complexes and ON FORT HOOD, you can get a waiver from housing or management to foster an animal. It is usually on a case by case basis and requires a letter from the organization you want to foster for, but they normally gladly provide that, if an animal can be helped. :)

Do you have pictures or links of animals still needing foster homes? I am not sure if I can do it yet but I am seriously considering it.

Any animal in a rescue group can use a foster. We just placed a heart worm positive blue heeler in a foster home. During heart worm treatment pets are usually locked up in a cage to keep very still and not move much, but this dog was very mellow, so we found a foster dad who is disabled... perfect match for the healing process without the boredom of caging...
You can really look at our dogs, and just about any of the ones who have been there for a while could go into a foster home, just to take a break from the kennel life, which is hard on many a dog.
If you want to look at the on Facebook, they are here: https://www.facebook.com/cthsKilleen?sk=app_168085059911389
Or you can look at the from our website here: http://www.centexhumanesociety.com/dogtime.html

If you see one you would be interested, email me at poundpup@hot.rr.com and we can arrange for you to meet the animals of your choice. Both dogs and cats can go to foster. :)
