I would love to teach in Belton. I've never heard a bad thing about that town.

Belton and its ISD are both great. But I'd still rather be re-hired in KISD.

The only problem with both Belton and Killeen ISDs is that their high school football teams can never beat Cove. :)

Taught in BISD .... Ran back to KISD as fast as I could. No ill feelings against BISD but I prefer KISD!!!

Money is a lot less in Belton. Can't afford to teach there... However, I do live there and love it!

Was offered a job there a few years ago even though I hadn't applied. The school was less than 2 miles from my house, but when I heard the salary, I quickly said "sorry"! Would have to take a huge pay cut! I'm staying at KISD with all its warts until retirement!

My friend teaches at BHS. A bus drops her grade school child off there after school, saving her gas, time, and after-school care cost. Nice benefit.

This thread needs new info. Here is some: BISD board met and reported, among other things, that they recently had one opening at Pirtle Elementary. They received 379 applications.

I know someone who works there...don't think I want their job. Don't want to trade out similar circumstances. KWIM?
